If you have an iOS
device and your location is not updating please follow the troubleshooting steps
described below.
Also, if your circle
members location is not updating on your device and they have an iOS device,
please refer them to
this page.
You may check the
location service and WiFi setting on your phone. It's important that both GPS
and Wifi(even if they
are not connected) are activated on your phone.
Please note that
accuracy depends on many factors, such as your environment and your phone. There
is moments when the
highest accuracy will not be available(underground for example)
Please refer the below
instruction for the detail.

signal to estimate a current location when GPS signal is not available(indoor or
underground). We
recommend you to turn on Wi-Fi even if you don’t use it.

on
Make sure Internet connection is active
Since iFinder updates
your location via 3G/LTE/WiFi, your iPhone always should be connected to the
internet.

If enabled, these
settings can prevent iFinder from running in the background. Therefore, your
location will only be
updated for your circle members when you open the application.
To check, go to
Settings > Battery > and verify that Low Power Mode is disabled.
Enable Push notification
Go to Settings >
Notifications > make sure that iFinder is activated
Do not remove the app from background
iFinder need to keep
communicate with an iPhone even if it is under background. Don't worry about the
battery
consumption. iFinder consumes just 1% of battery life over 24 hours.

Ensure that iFinder is allowed to auto-start
Some devices have settings which exclude some applications from
starting. The
most common phones to have these applications are Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo.
Reboot the phone
In some case, the device could lost the connection with the
location
service. In this situation, rebooting the device will resolve the problem.
2.Why does it show 'location permissions/GPS off'?
Some phones will display a message saying the location needs to be
set to
'always', or 'location permissions/GPS off' when it has been verified they are turned
on. When this
happens, other Circle members may not be able to see you on the map, but you will be
able to see them on
the map.
To fix this:
Go to device Settings
Scroll to find the iFinder app
On Android phones: tap on ‘Permissions’ setting, turn on ‘Location’
On iPhones: tap on 'Location' setting, tap on 'Always' in the Allow
Location
Access section.

5.How do I use the iFinder app to find my phone?
Regarding finding your phone, iFinder’s real-time location function
can help
you check the location of your device. After you join a circle and share your location
with other circle
members, if your phone is accidentally lost, you can contact other circle members to
check the real-time
location of your phone. The prerequisite is that location sharing must be turned on and
the phone is
running normally.
In addition, on the main page of the iFinder application, you can
find nearby
devices through Bluetooth. There are certain distance restrictions and the device needs
to be turned on.
If your device is not far from you, this feature can calculate a distance score to help
you find your
device, including headphones, mobile phones, etc.
FAQ
1.How to share your location with others?
Use Circles to group
family members or other important people.
Circles are a way to
stay connected by organizing the most important people in your life into private
groups. We default
to the family circle, but you will want to create more circles for other people
in your life, such
as extended family, parents, lovers, etc. There are many scenarios where the
Circle organization can
come in handy.
Let everything be in
its place. Location sharing, check-in, and emergency notifications are all
circle-specific, so no
one will see anything they don’t need.
